Tun - Lassaad Chouaya

Tunisia lived up to its rating as one of the top favourites for the 26th edition of FIBA Africa Championship title when it over-run South Africa by 94-50 points in the round of eight finals.
 
The FIBA Africa Zone-1 power-house and third in the 2009 beat South Africa to the four quarters by 17-13, 24-13, 27-10 and 26-15 points to set up a quarter finals clash with the winner of the eight round final game between Mali and Morocco.
 
Tunisia Lassaad Chouya led his side macth to glory with 16 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals, Macram Romdhave had 14 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
 
Other Tunisian players who recorded double score figure against the South Africans included Marouan Kechrid who scored 12 points with the duo of Radhouane Slimane and Mohamed Ghyaza contributinf 10 points each.
