Coming from two quarters down in the eight final round of the 26th FIBA Africa Championship for Men Cote d’Ivoire powered by Guy Edi who netted championship high of 34 points as the 2009 runner-up roam into the quarter final with 80-72 points over Rwanda.
 
Taking a 33-44 points deficit into the break Cote d’Ivoire roar back like a wounded Elephant to raid the offense area of Rwanda resulting in the Ivorians winning the third and fourth quarters by 25-18 and 22-10 points respectively.
 
Edi was joined on the scorer chart by guard Souleyman Diakate who poured in 16 points gave 5 assists grabbed 4 rebounds and stole the ball from Rwanda players four times with centre Mohamed Kone scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds.
 
Cote d’Ivoire will battle the winner of the eight final round between Senegal and host Moadagascar in the quarter-finla on Wednesday at the Palais des Sports, Antananarivo.
