Senegal who won the first quarter by 22-11 points soon became a shadow of itself as it could not contain the energetis Ivorian who has had not too impressive run from the group stage of the championship forcing pundits to give the quarter final duel to Senegal before the jump-ball.
The determine Cote d’Ivoire side coached by Coach Natxo Lezcano tutored side won the second, third and last quarters by 06-21, 16-20 and 15-23 points to land a semi final ticket.
